As any parent with young children can tell you, navigating a stroller through Universal Orlando can be a somewhat stressful experience.

From looking at the pros and cons of bringing their own stroller to looking through a park’s rental options, it can get tricky. However, fear not: We’ve assembled a guide to every option for renting a stroller at Universal Orlando.
As stated on their website, Universal Studios Orlando offers two options for strollers: “Strollers are available for rent upon entering Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure, or you may bring your own stroller if you find it more convenient.”
However, in actuality there are three main options if you need a stroller to traverse Universal Studios Florida: Renting from Universal, Renting from a third party, or bringing your own. So let’s look at each option:
Renting from Universal
If you’re simply planning to rent a stroller from Universal, the park offers a relatively easy experience. When you enter either the Universal Studios Florida theme park or Islands of Adventure them park, head to the left and follow the signage for stroller rental.
The parks offer two plastic, relatively no-frills stroller options: A single stroller for $15 a day or a double stroller for $25 a day. Either of these stroller options require a $50 deposit, which will be refunded upon return of the stroller. For an an extra $3, Universal offers the “Kiddie Cars” addition including a plastic steering wheel, which can make the stroller just a bit more fun for the youngins.

It should be noted here that these rentals are only available within Universal Orlando’s two theme parks: Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. Rentals are not available from Universal on the CityWalk property or at the Volcano Bay waterpark. However, there is another option.
Renting from a Third Party
There are several companies that provide stroller rentals for your vacation. These companies will usually arrange pickups and drop-offs at your hotel beforehand, and offer more stroller options, usually for lower overall prices than renting daily from Universal. In addition, these options allow guests to bring a rental stroller into Volcano Bay and CityWalk.
One option we recommend is BabyQuip, which can also rent you additional equipment like car seats, cribs, bouncers, and even toys — delivered to your hotel.
If renting is not your cup of tea, we have option three.

Bring Your Own Stroller
While it may be a tad more cumbersome, bringing your own stroller offers the most freedom. This option allows you bring your stroller from home – if you’re flying, not that there’s no cost to check a stroller on a commercial flight – and bring it into the parks at your leisure.
If you want to bring your own stroller, but don’t want to go through the hassle of flying with it or have it take up space in your car, some guests have another solution. They’ll purchase a a cheap stroller upon arriving in Orlando, use it for the duration of their trip, and then discard it or leave it behind before returning home. Remember that you can even use Instacart to get a stroller, diapering supplies, food and snacks delivered to your hotel.

The Best Option?
Like many vacation decisions, the best option comes down to your family’s needs. If you simply want a stroller to navigate Universal’s theme parks and don’t want to deal with any hassle beyond that, renting directly from them is your best bet.
However, if you’re planning on spending time outside the parks at Volcano Bay and CityWalk, or even off Universal property entirely, renting from a third party company or bringing your own stroller might be the better bet.
