There’s a lot you can prepare for ahead of your Disney World trip.
You can book your hotel of course, along with making dining reservations and even special tours and experiences. You can also study the latest ride wait times to get an idea of what you might be up against — but there’s one thing you can’t always prepare for: temporary ride closures.
You’ve planned all you can plan, and just when you think everything is going swimmingly — your favorite ride has been hit with a temporary closure! It happens more often than you might think, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still have a good time. Sounds like the perfect time for a backup plan!
As far as backup plans go, your best bet is to just be patient. More often than not, a temporary closure only lasts for a little while meaning you might be able to hop on the ride a bit later. Of course, you might be disappointed about the situation, but there are plenty of other rides and attractions you can experience in the parks. Maybe this is your opportunity to find your new favorite Disney World activity.
Take January 15th, 2024, for example. Throughout all four parks, there were a whopping 12 temporary closures at one point or another during the day. It’s something you might want to keep in mind so you can temper those expectations!
