The original Disney theme park has been around for quite a while, and it’s finally time to celebrate. The festivities have finally kicked off in the parks, and it seems like everyone has come to join in on the fun. Let’s check out the crowds on this sold-out celebration day!
Are you ready to celebrate? Well, so is everyone else, it seems! Today, May 16th, kicks off Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary Celebrations, and the park has been sold out for Magic Keyholders for a few weeks now. While the park’s official anniversary isn’t until July 17th, Disney decided we didn’t need to wait to have some fun.

When we arrived at Disneyland, some Cast Members were there to greet us in the most charming way possible.

As far as crowds go, so far it’s looking BUSY. Here’s what rope drop looked like. Yes, it’s going to be crowded at Disneyland today.

There was a line for photos with a PhotoPass photographer in front of Main Street Station — it seems like a lot of people want a shot with the 70th Anniversary decorations there.

Main Street might not look so busy, but people are lining up on the left…

Yes, even before rope drop, a line was already forming down Main Street, U.S.A. of people wanting to get some 70th Anniversary merchandise.

The crowds in Disneyland tend to vary depending on the time of year and events happening, so don’t be too deterred if things are looking a bit crazy when you first arrive. Disneyland’s 70th is bringing with it several new additions to the parks and a few returning favorites.

We can’t wait to see how the celebrations go as the day continues! We’ll be trying all of the snacks, ride changes, and more for Disneyland’s big birthday milestone. As always, be sure to keep following AllEars for more Disney news and updates.
