Rain in Disney World usually isn’t ideal, but you can still have a great day.
However, when storms hit the parks, that’s a bit of a different story. Outdoor attractions can’t safely run with lightning in the area, and since yesterday was a storm-filled day in Orlando, it was an especially rough day in one Disney World park.
Let’s take a look at the wait times for Saturday, May 24th, 2025.
Magic Kingdom
Everything was going so well in Magic Kingdom, with very few ride closures. Then storms hit in the afternoon and closed down SEVEN rides for multiple hours. Even with the closures, though, the highest wait was TRON Lightcycle / Run, at 75 minutes at 10 AM, so that’s not too bad, especially for a Saturday.
