We’ve got more changes happening over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

It looks like construction has expanded on the brand-new attraction inspired by Disney Animation’s Zootopia, coming to Animal Kingdom. Let’s take a look at what’s going on!
Zootopia will officially be coming to Animal Kingdom as “Zootopia: Better Together!” It’s no surprise the movie will be finding a home at an American Disney park, considering its massive success and huge fan base. They’ve already opened a Zootopia Land in Shanghai Disneyland, which makes sense considering China was the movie’s biggest market.

Zootopia: Better Together is expected to open in the Winter of 2025, but we haven’t seen too many construction updates — until now! We recently visited Animal Kingdom to check out the latest construction.

Construction walls and green scrim were up at the former entrance and exit of It’s Tough To Be A Bug in preparation for Zootopia: Better Zoogether. While we had previously seen some construction walls up around the Tree of Life Theater, it looks like Disney has finally begun updating the attraction’s entrance.

This isn’t the only construction that’s going on, because Animal Kingdom is changing! If you go over to the DinoLand U.S.A. side of the park, you’ll see that everything from the DinoLand roadside carnival area is gone, and construction walls are up all around that area.

All the construction is for the massive transformation from DinoLand into the Tropical Americas land, Pueblo Esperanza. The brand-new land will be unlike anything we’ve ever seen at a Disney park, let alone Animal Kingdom.

This gorgeous new area will feature three new rides. Two of them seem like they’ll be E-Ticket attractions — them being an Indiana Jones ride and an Encanto ride. We are so thrilled to experience these new attractions once the land opens.

For those of you worrying about DINOSAUR closing, you’ll still have the rest of 2025 to ride it. There is no official closing date for the attraction as of yet, but it was confirmed to be open for the remainder of this year.

Zootopia will be the first to open of all the new experiences coming to Animal Kingdom, as Pueblo Esperanza won’t be coming until 2027. We can’t wait to step into the animal world with Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps come Winter 2025. We’re going to be checking in on construction often, so make sure to stay tuned to AllEars for more.
