This summer has been a splash at Disney World! Between an exclusive meet and greet with a rare character, Cool Kid Summer offerings, and even the extra discounts on restaurants and merchandise during the V.I.Passholder days, there are a LOT of reasons to want to become a Disney World Annual Passholder. But if you were waiting for the right time to take advantage of a limited-time promotion for Annual Passes, you’ve just missed your chance!

Visiting Disney World even once feels like the ultimate achievement for some. However, there are a select few fans who are lucky enough to make multiple trips to Disney World, sometimes within the same year. If you happen to be one of these frequent visitors, you’ve likely at least considered investing in a Disney World Annual Pass.

Annual Passholder Card

Disney World’s Annual Pass allows you entrance to its four main parks with the ability to park hop between its parks throughout the year for one set price. While most folks purchasing an Annual Pass are expected to hand over the entire price all at once, anyone who is a Florida Resident might enjoy the added perk of splitting up their pass purchase over monthly payments after an initial down payment.

A few months back, Disney World started a promotion that allowed Florida residents the option to purchase any of its Annual Pass options with one set price as a down payment for the ticket of $99. This was a significant change, as depending on the tier of pass you were purchasing, Disney World previously required a minimum of $205.

While we weren’t exactly sure how long this promotion was expected to last, it seems we now have our answer. Disney World quietly updated its Annual Passholder program once again to reflect the original pricing of a down payment for a new Annual Pass purchase and has since retired the discounted down payment promotion.

This is a bummer for those who may have been waiting to purchase a pass, but the silver lining to this is that as a Florida resident you still have the option to split the cost of the Annual Pass purchase up over several months as opposed to paying for it in full like those who live out of state do.
